In this episode, Dr. Jeck has a conversation with Mr. Paul McCulla, the chief administrative officer of Fauquier County. As County Administrator, Mr. McCulla supervises the day-to-day operations of all county departments and agencies. The two discuss a variety of topics including fire and rescue, cell towers, local vs. state funding and more!
Dr. Jeck poses the following questions to Mr. McCulla:
- If you were stranded on a desert island and you could only choose one other person to be with you, who would you choose?
- You started as an attorney, correct?
- Have you always had an interest in local management?
- Tell me more about William & Mary.
- What is the biggest challenge that you deal with in your position?
- How long have you lived in Fauquier County?
- What's the biggest change that you've seen in the county over the years?
- What are other big changes on the horizon? What advice might you give to a person coming into your position after you?
